New addition to our family.....

Good morning stampin friends! Hope you are having a great week. The weather here is wonderful. Cooler temps and the a/c is OFF! We do need rain though, of course some other areas of the country could use some also...and some have way too much rain. My thoughts and prayers go out to those on the East Coast, TX and OK. The weather this year has been so crazy!

Sorry for MIA, I'm having some health issues and just haven't felt well enough to do much. I am going to try and get some stampin done this week, we'll see how that goes. Good drugs help.

I'd like to introduce a new member of our family. Her name is Gracie and she is 3 months old. Part Shih Tzu/Maltese. She is such a sweetheart. Now Gidget wouldn't agree with me on that...LOL But Gidget and Miss Dolly are warming up to her, but taking their time. They will all be friends soon.

Look at that sweet face!

That's it from me today. I'll try and get some stampin done this week and share with you. I do have a few cards that NEED to be made and sent. I'll share those. Till then, THANKS so much for stoppin by!

Happy Stampin,

Moving on, Joplin will stay strong!

As you know, Joplin, MO was hit with an EF5 Tornado at 5:41 PM on May 22, 2011.
I live about 17 miles from Joplin. I have no damage at my house, but the tornado went right over the shelter I was in. My folks and my brother missed it also by 1/2 mile. We all did lose electric and cable for a couple of days. Thankfully, everyone is safe and no damage. My brother and I went into Joplin approx 6:30 PM, we couldn't sit and do nothing like alot of  people did. We helped where we could at Wal-Mart and Home Depot. Bill and I  also did more volunteer work thru out the week and weekend. So much more needs to be done though. It will be a long road, but Joplin will REBUILD and be bigger than before.

I will get back to blogging hopefully in the next day or so. THANKS to all those who texted, emailed and called. You don't know what that meant to me!! I am fine and so is my family. Saddened, yes, but we will be alright.

Keep sending those thoughts and prayers for those in Joplin, MO

Lois

MIA...Sorry

Hello stampin friends. Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I've had an awful sinus infection/headache/cold. And hubby was home, that meant...cookin, cleanin and laundry, while he built onto our existing deck.

Hope everyone is doing well. We've had so much rain here. And it's our tornado season. Hopefully none of the storms produce a tornado, but one never knows what Mother Nature has in her plans. I guess last night about 25 miles to the northwest of me, there was a few sightings of a tornado, but none never made land. For that we are thankful.

I'll get back posting hopefully by next week. Take care and THANKS for stoppin by!

HAPPY STAMPIN!

Today, again I'm sharing a couple of sympathy cards I made for the daughters of my friend whom lost her husband and the girls daddy. I'm hoping these are the last of the sympathy cards that I need to make for awhile. I really need to make a few just to have on hand.

Thank You

Good afternoon stampin friends! Boy is it windy here! Temps are spring like, but the wind is a killer.

Todays card is the last card in a set that I'm doing for a friend. I know the image is a Christmas one, but didn't really want to put Merry Christmas on it (too early!). So I thought putting Thank You was good, as it can be used for a gift thank you card at Christmas time (I know, still too early!). Hope ya'll like it. This is one of my favorites. The frame was done again using one from Dawn Olchefske over at www.dostamping.typepad.com dated Feb 28. You REALLY gotta try these frames.

Details for the card:

Stamp Set: A Flower for All Seasons and Thank You Kindly
Cardstock: White, Neenah White and Real Red
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Misc: Scallop Trim Border, Copics, Popdots and Gold Pearls

Happy First Day of Spring!!!

Good afternoon stampers! What a beautiful day it is here in SW MO! The temps are close to 80 with a breeze, just enough from keeping it really hot. How's your Sunday going? Enjoy the beautiful weather!

Today, I thought I'd share the swap cards I made for the Branson Regionals back in February. What a blast. Seeing old friends along with making new ones. Got some great tips and tricks to use with our SU products. I can't wait to get busy and try some. My swap cards are based on another card that I shared earlier, just didn't use the ribbon. And EVERYONE loved them. I have only a handful left out of 100 that I took. Got some great ones in return that I will be casing later on. What a great experience going to regionals, if it's for 1/2 day or a full day, you won't be dissappointed going to an SU event. And I must say dinner afterwards was a HOOT! What great memories!

Swap card details:
Stamp Set: On Your Birthday
Cardstock: Whisper White, Concord Crush, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry
Ink: Concord Crush, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry
Misc: Perfect Polka Dots EB Folder, Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, Pearls and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border

That's all from me today. Going to enjoy the beautiful weather! Have a great day and THANKS SO MUCH for stopin by.
