Round Treat Boxes

Good evening stampers! I hope your Wednesday was a great one. I was a little busy today, grocery shopping, dr appt and lunch with my folks. But I have to tell ya, it's another beautiful day here in SW MO! A little chilly, but not bad. We are to get back in the 80's this weekend.

Tonight, I'm sharing some round boxes that Vicki and I made for our friends up in Kansas City. We made these on last Friday and we traveled to Kansas City on Monday for a Copic Class and to meet our friends for dinner before we came back home. Vicki found the tutorial http://mytherapymycreations.blogspot.com/2010/08/another-box-and-tutorial.html

We did adjust it a bit. The tutorial calls for a 1" box and we wanted one a little bit bigger. Very easy to adjust to any size that fits your needs. We filled them with shredded paper and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (mini size). They were a hit with our friends. These boxes would be a great idea for some gift items or just candy.

Details....

Ink....Cajun Craze

Misc...Wide Oval Punch, Swirls Scribbles Sizzlit Die, Very Vanilla 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Circle Die, Perfect Polka Dots Folder,Little Leaves Sizzlet Die, Chipboard, Sponge and Popdots.

Good Morning Stampers. I hope you are having a wonderful day so far. It's another beautiful day here in SW MO. The sun is shining and a slight breeze. We could really use some rain though, so if you have rain in your area, please send it to MO, we need it so bad!

Matted/popped up with pop dots on some Cherry Cobbler, added a little bit of ribbon on the Cherry Cobbler then a bow made with Always Artichoke Seam Binding Ribbon.

Aren't they the cutest. I have to say, that I had trouble using the med size oval punch twice to get it the right size, so I did some adjustments to her tutorial to make the bottle fit. Bells & Boughs Candle

Good evening everyone! Hope you had a great weekend as it winds down and gettin ready for another work week. Another warm day here in SW MO, as Vicki told me this morning, FALL hasn't told SUMMER it was time to leave. Since summer isn't offically over yet, guess fall will have to wait a few more days.

Today, I'm sharing a candle that I made using Bells & Boughs from the Holiday Mini, some tissue paper, Real Red, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight markers and my heat gun. To make the bow and ribbon around the candle, I used Gold Waffle Paper. After I put the candle inside the glass bowl, I put some Frosty Decortive Snow in it. This would make a great centerpiece and a gift for your gift giving. I hope you like it!

That's all from me today, THANKS so much for stopping by. Happy Stampin!!

Halloween Candy Wrappers

Hi everyone! No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth yet...LOL Hope ya'll are having a great week. I'm happy to report that my sisterinlaw is out of the hospital and doing well at home. About 2 weeks ago, my mom fell and broke her hip! So I was on the run again. I'm very happy to report, she is doing very well. I take her to her PT sessions and she is just doing so good. Me? HA all I want is SLEEP!!! at least something past 7:30 AM, my one doggie thinks we should be up to see the sunrise....NOT ME!!! LOL Anyways, I am finally getting some time to stamp and create!!

Today, I'm sharing 3 Candy Wrappers I made using the new Candy Wrapper Die from the Holiday Mini. So fun to make, that is AFTER you figure out how to do the ends. There is a trick to them, I'll tell ya!!! I found a video that showed how to have perfect success with the ends. Now can't stop making them...LOL isn't that the way it always goes.

Materials for this project are:

SU Candy Wrappers Die, Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Wicked Fun Specialty DSP, Wicked Cool Clear Stamp Set, 1/4" Basic Black and Old Olive Grograin Ribbon, 1/2" Raven Lace Trim, Popdots, Circle Punches, Scallop Oval xl Punch and MS Small Bat Punch.

Happy B*Day

Good Afternoon stampers. I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything....sorry! I've been busy....as some of you know, my sister-in-law has been in the hospital on life supports. I am happy to report that she is doing fine...she has been transfered from the hospital to rehab. So my trips to Ark. have been considerably less. And I have been working feverishly on a swap for demos. I had to make 29! Finally got them done and they are mailed. Not to mention also, hubby is home! But I'm hoping ya'll are having a great Wednesday. It's a beautiful day here. Windows and doors are open.....ahhh nothing like good ole fresh air.

Today, I'm sharing a quick card we did at SAS. We started with Basic Black Cardstock followed by Whisper White. We stamped the image with Black Stazon. And then matted that on Black c/s. Add a Black Grosgrain ribbon. We did use a MS punch (shhhh, most of my girls have this punch anyways). Added a strip of Black c/s and it's done. The inside is done just like the outside, minus the senitment.

That's it for today. Hope you have a great day. THANKS so much for stoppin by. If you are on my blog lists, I promise I will get around to your blogs this weekend. I haven't forgotten, just been busy.

Happy Stampin,

Christmas in August

Good afternoon everyone! Hope ya'll are having a great Saturday. It's yet another HOT day here in SW MO. I'm so looking forward to fall. I just can't hardly stand the heat as I get older.

Todays card is a simple Christmas card that I'll use in one of my SAS. I started out with a piece of Cherry Cobbler (love that color), then some Old Olive and a piece of Jolly Holiday DSP. Using the Top Note Die, I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla (folded). I cut the edges off the Very Vanilla and layered onto the Cherry Cobbler. I sponged Cherry Cobbler on the Very Vanilla edges. Stamped the tree in Old Olive from Holiday Happiness, then using my stampamajig, stamped the ornaments in Daffodile Delight and Cherry Cobbler. I didn't like the way the star looked at the top of the tree just stamped, so I punched a star from Daffodile Delight cardstock and popped it up with a pop dot. Added some bling and ribbon/bow made with the bow easy. For the inside, I stamped "Happy Holidays" from Holiday Happiness in Cherry Cobbler. I really love the way the card opens up with the top note folded. What do ya think?

That's it for today. Have a great weekend, and THANKS so much for stoppin by.

Happy Stampin,
Lois

Life Happens

Good rainy day! We got some much needed rain here in SW MO, unfortunally, it hasn't lasted very long. It's still a gloomy day out and very humid now. Hope you are having a great Wednesday.

Today I'm sharing an "almost" case that was posted on Stampin Connection by Jenn, her blog is http://justforyoubyjenn.blogspot.com/2010/07/just-note-from-aviary.html . I just loved this card and knew I had to try one. This card is a "Z fold", very easy to do. Cut your cardstock at 5.5 x 11 then score at 4" and 6 3/4". I did change up the colors a bit and used a different sentiment than Jenn did. The card folded up is a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Card details are:
Stamp Sets: Aviary and Full of Live
Cardstock: Whisper White and Basic Black
Ink: Marina Blue, Daffodil Delight, Concord Crush, Poppy Parade and Black Stazon
Misc: Stampamajig

That's it from me today. Have a great day. And THANKS so much for stoppin by.

Happy Stampin,
Lois

P.S. I just now realized that I didn't put any "BLING" on my card...I am going to add some to the top of the bird cage. GRRRR!!! Hate it when I forget something as important as "BLING"....LOL

Hello from KS!

Hi everyone. I've been in KS since last Saturday. Having a blast with 11 very special girlfriends. We meet up once a year for a scrappin retreat. Our time here is almost over. We will be departing to our homes tomorrow. Some gals traveled by air, some by land...but we will be forever linked with our hearts. We have ate, laughed, shopped, chatted, scrapped, played games and just had some good old fashion fun.

This picture I'm sharing is one of the games we played. You were handed an envelope with a name on it. Inside, was a "naked" paper doll from the Cricut "Paper Doll" carts. We were to dress them the way we interput/or saw the person. Anyways, you get the picture. Well, my room mate and best girlfriend, Barbi from Ca. had gotten my name. And this is how she saw me. Now I'm not sure, but I can say for sure, I DID NOT have a hula skirt on nor did I have a drink in my hand (unless it's dt pepsi). But, all in all, we had a blast! And I love my paper doll! Hope you get a giggle out of it as I did. Love ya Barbi!! See you all next year!!
This is it for now. I'll be back home tomorrow. I'll be back to posting and commenting this weekend. Have a great evening!

Lois

4 You Treat Holder

Happy Sunday everyone. Hope you are having a great day. It's another HOT one here in SW MO. I hope we get a little rain to cool us off, but then have to have the humitidy..not sure if the rain is worth it. So if you are planning outside activites, drink lots of water and stay cool.

Last night, my awesome friend Vicki was out to my place, and we made a purse for 3x3 cards and we just loved them. We were making another one, and boy did we mess up from Wendy's tutorial , but ended up with out having handles. So Vicki said, these would be great with little candies in them instead of 3x3 cards. I also thought of gift cards or even Trident Gum would fit.
So the possiblies to fill these are just endless. You can find Wendy's tutorial on her blog
http://gotrubberwillstamp.blogspot.com/.

So today's share is one that I made this afternoon while watching the Michigan NASCAR race.
Hope you like it, cause I love it. I can see more of these in my future for craft fairs etc.

Because I Care

Afternoon everyone! Happy Thursday...one more day til the weekend. Hope you have some great plans for the weekend. Me? well, I'm gonna play with new goodies IF I can stop drooling over my new catty. Isn't it the most awesome catty we've had for awhile? I think so!!! I just can't stop lookin at it and making a list, then making another list, and my lists are making lists now, LOL. Can't wait for July 1 to get here, so I can mark off some of my lists.
The New Colors to the Color Collections are so rich and lusious. The In Colors are just so pretty. Not sure which ones I like the best, but the New Colors are winning out I think. I know, I didn't use any new colors for this card...why? because I forgot I have them!! I will make something this weekend using the new colors.
Anyhow, todays card share was made with one of the Hostess Level 1 sets that SU so graciously sent to demos free when they got a "bundle" of the new collections. SU made a few mistakes and this was their way of saying "we're sorry". It's a really nice hostess set.
Details...4.25x5.50 card
Stamp Set~~Because I Care
Cardstock~~White and Regal Rose
Ink~~Old Olive and Regal Rose Markers
Misc~~Score Board, Pop Dots and 1/2 Pearl Stickers

MDS-Birthday

Happy Tuesday everyone! Just one more day....I get my SU preorder goodies, and I can't wait...I'm just giddy with excitment to get that new catty. Hope you are having a great day. Looks like we have Tornado Watches tonight. AHHH let'er blow is my theory. I'm sure it's probably nothing, just the temps are up there and it's just probably a precautionary measure more than anything.

Today, I'm sharing another set of cards (4.25x5.50, 4x4, and 3.x3) that I made using the Summer Splendor DSP on my MDS. I just can't get enough of these cards, so easy to do and so nice to mail out...flat! no extra postage.

Anyways, for these I used, Dusty Durango for the card bases and Crushed Curry to matt the printed DSP on Whisper White. Dusty Durango was used to stamp the sentiments from "On Your Birthday". A matt of Crushed Curry and Whisper White was also used on the inside of the cards.

That's it for today. THANKS so much for stoppin by. Have a great Tuesday evening.

Until tomorrow...........

Happy Stampin,

MDS-Thanks

Good evening ladies and gents (if there are any). Hope you had a great Monday. We had rain here in the SW MO area. Nice welcome relief from the 90+ temps we have been having. It's not to humid, which is a good thing. I'm sure we'll get the "humid" thing soon enough.

Tonight, I'm sharing 3 cards (4.25x5.50, 4x4 and 3x3) that I made using the MDS download of Summer Slendor. If you don't have the MDS (My Digital Studio) run, don't walk to your nearest demostrator and get your copy ASAP, then purchase the Summer Slendor DSP $4.95 (not in the new catty) and make some awesome cards. I'm sure your demostrator will assit you with making these beauties. I'll be posting more through out this week.

I printed the desired "DSP" on Whisper White Cardstock. Layered all of them on Soft Suede and mounted onto Kraft aka: Crumb Cake (after July 1). Then I used Soft Suede Cl Ink and stamped using the Thank You Kindly stamp set. I finished off the inside with a layer of Whisper White and Soft Suede. And you are done.

That's it for tonight, until tomorrow.....THANKS so much for stoppin by. Have a great evening.

Happy Stampin!

Green Birthday Motorcycle

Good afternoon from cloudy, overcast, cool and wet SW MO! Last night I heard on the news 8 of 12 days we have had RAIN!!!! It's time for some drying out. I think it's suppose to get in the 90's on Saturday...now it will add humidity to the air and I'll have to turn on the a/c. What a difference a day makes.

Rose Treat Box

Good afternoon ladies. Hope your Wednesday is going great, almost to the weekend. It's another warm, cloudy and windy day here in SW MO. Possible storms tonight. If you are in any of the storm paths, please stay safe.

Today, I'm sharing a treat box I made a couple weeks ago. Very simple, but yet elegant! The Rose makes it so elegant, I think. But then how "elegant" can you get for a simple box? Well, if you use your SU Polka Dotted folder with the SU Bag with Scallops ( whisper white c/s), you can get pretty "elegant". I added a rose made with the 5 pedal flower punch (Orchid Opulence c/s and the same for the speckles using Itty Bitty Backgrounds) . Use some Old Olive c/s for the leaves with the SU Little Leaves Sizzlet die......Stamp a sentiment with Tiny Tags on Whisper White c/s with Orchid Opulence Cl Ink and attach with some DMC floss .....and there you have it.

That's it for today.......Thanks so much for stopin by today. Have a great evening.

Happy Stampin!!

Roses and Candles

Good afternoon ladies. Hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday. It's hot and muggy here in SW MO today. Expecting more storms tonight and every day til the first of the week. Hopefully, we won't get blown away with the winds. We did have some scary moments last night, but all is well. The storm stayed about 10 miles to the north of where I am. We need to keep those effected in the OK City tornados in our prayers.
Today, I'm sharing a box that I made last night with a punch rose on the top. Since the roses are all the rage right now, I just had to jump on the band wagon. I surprised myself that I could actually make/design a box that I wanted for several uses. One being, candles..hence, the title today....Roses and Candles. I wanted something I could put candles in and still use my SU products.
Details~~
Stamp Set.... Tiny Tags
Cardstock.... Rich Razzleberry, Glossy White, Whisper and Cottage Wall DSP
Ink............... Rich Razzleberry
Misc............. Ornament Punch, Sponge, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Jewelry Tag Punch, Retired Organdy Ribbon and DMC Floss

Good afernoon ladies. Hope your weekend went well. Here in SW MO we had a snow storm on Friday nite into Saturday...some say we got 6" and some same we got 8" of snow. Well I don't know for sure how much we got other than ALOT and add to the mix was sleet and rain. So yesterday and today, it's melting....and melting means a mess!! MUD!!! So now I'll pray for warm days to dry up the ground. Til then, I'll have to give my furbabies a bath every nite. We call then the "mud pups" in this kind of weather.
