Give Thanks

Good Afternoon chickies. Hope your Wednesday is going good. Sorry, I've been MIA, I've got a bad cold and broncities. And then yesterday got some bad news, the sister to my son (long story) lost her battle to cancer at 1:20 Am Tuesday morning. Renae slipped away in God's arms in her sleep. May she rest in peace and no pain.

Hi chickies. Well it's gettin late, but we are home after a great vacation. Just tired is all. Nothing major happened except we lost a bag of goodies that I bought for some friends. Makes me sad...but not anyones fault. I'll see if I can find some things on line and have them sent to me.

But we are glad to be home. The furbabies will be here in the am. Can't wait to see my "girls".

Just wanted to let ya'll know I was home, I see about getting something posted in the next day or two. And I'll be visiting some blogs also.

Vacation Highlights

Good Morning chickies. Hope you are having a great Friday. We are in SC. Got here on Wednesday afternoon after spending a couple of days in Charlotte, NC touring the race shops as you can see by the photos. Going thru the race shops was interesting. Seeing the cars that actually have been on the race track was so cool.

Today's photos are of Nascars Jeff Gordon #24 and Dale Earnhardt Jr #88. These were at the Hendricks race shop. Lots and lots of cars and memorabilia of al Hendicks drivers.

Today, we are in Ridgeland, SC. We arrived Wednesday afternoon and the guys (dh and 2 of his buddies) went hog/deer hunting on a plantation ranch. So far only 1 great white hunter amongst them. A deer was taken last night. Other than that nothing. Dh says he is having fun and I guess that is all that counts. Me, well I'm in the motel with free hi speed internet and making Christmas cards. Resting and relaxing.

That's it for today. Have a great weekend. Thanks so much for stoppin by. Remember, to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Digital Scrapbook Page #1

Hi chickies...OMG I'm in heaven!!!! Not only did it rain today...the fall colors are starting on the smaller ground brush and I think the trees this year will be BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm also in heave because the UPS man showed up with my SU order today!!!! And you guessed it, I got the My Digital Studio and I'm in heaven!!! OMG after I figured it out, it's really easy!!! Just can't find out how to make a bow yet...LOL I'll keep searching. I have a couple of boo boos in this one, but hey, I'm still learning. LOL

So, I'm sharing a Digital Scrapbook page that I did tonight. I'm suppose to be resting, but I wanted to play!!! LOL This page is one of many that I'll be doing. Reina and I went on a retreat with a group from a website that I have been a member of since 1998. We used to have get togethers, but haven't had any in a long time. So this yr one of the gals got the group together and we had a blast at the scrapbook retreat. This picture is of part of our group that stayed in Wichita, KS and we went to the funniest, most hilarous dinner theatre I'd ever been to.
If you haven't thought about the My Digital Studio yet, I suggest you rethink it. Cause it's COOL!! I am planning on taking my laptop and doing some more while on vacation.
Thanks for stoppin by....see you tomorrow hopefully!

Halloween Stair Step Card

Evening chickies. Humm no song tonight, I'm resting my vocal cords from last night....LOL It's a good thing, NO ONE can hear me REALLY sing, it's not pretty! What a nice day here in SW MO, not too hot, not too cold and a little humid, but I have the a/c on!! Darn, was hoping I wouldn't have to turn it back on.
This will be quick tonight, the NASCAR race is on. Wouldn't want to miss anything ya'know. LOL
Tonights card is one that I did a week or so ago. All Cardstock is SU, the dies are Sizzix dies. Had a good time making this one. Very cute I think, what do ya'll think? The sentiment is from a retired SU set, can't remember the name of it right now. My mind is mush I tell ya. With this vacation planning, getting things done etc....I'm just a frazzle.
That's it for tonight. Have a great Labor Day tomorrow. I'll be stampin and pickin up the hubby when he gets into town. Remember, keep on stampin, it's good for your soul. And THANKS for stoppin by, I love seeing you.

It Was A Monster Mash

I was working in the lab late one night. When my eyes beheld an eerie sight. For my monster from his slab began to rise. And suddenly to my surprise. He did the mash. He did the monster mash. The monster mash. It was a graveyard smash. He did the mash. It caught on in a flash He did the mash. He did the monster mash.

Oh Hi Chickies....you caught me singin, well sorta. LOL just kidding, but we did have a Monster Mash night at my house tonight. You see, I'm going on vacation next Saturday and will be gone for ohhh about 10 days. And my friend Reina had asked if we could get together this weekend, and I had told her, I'd see what my schedule was like.......well, unknown to me, she emailed Vicki and Vicki then email me and begged, I tell ya, she begged! LOL not really, but a little pretty please was there. I said well, OK, Saturday at 1 PM....so the girls showed up and these cute little monsters were created. How flippin cute are they??? Cute, huh, I thought you'd agree with me.
LOL Nonetheless, we had a great time, we laughed alot and had some great food! Thanks Reina and Vicki for all you do for me, your friendship really means the world to me.

I'm not really sure I can remember what all we used, other than they are all SU!, Punches,
Top Note Die, cardstock, ribbons and inks. And since it's late, I'm not going to post a product list, but if you would really like to know, email me and I'll tell ya. You can see these all over SCS and I'm sure on alot of blogs. They were a big hit last yr, but I never made any last yr. Or ever until now

This is it for tonight. Hope ya'll are having a great long weekend, stay safe and remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul....and THANKS for stoppin by.

Your SU friend,
Lois

Edited to add: Vicki brought enough supplies for the Mr and Mrs Frankinstein to share with us and her sample. I found the Mr Dracula over at SCS and the Mummy was another of Vicki's samples. Thanks Vicki for sharing!!!
