Mover and Shapers Box

Good evening girlies. Hope you had a great weekend. Not much snow fell here so no one got to spend the night. Today was beautiful, but my knee barometer is telling me that it's going to rain tonight sometime. Stay dry if you are getting rain.

Tonight I'm sharing a box that Vicki and I made after workshop on Saturday nite using the SU Movers and Shapers Curly Label bigz die. So fun and they turn out so cute. Lots can be done with them. I used Retired Afternoon DSP. The stamp set used is from the new Occasional Mini coming up April-June 30 Great Friend. Ink used is Chocolate Chip classic. 'For You' is punched out with SU Large Oval Punch. The inside box is Chocolate cardstock. Taped a piece of acetate on the inside of the 'punched' piece. You can find the instructions at http://www.kerinstamps.com/stampin_with_kerin/2009/03/movers-shapers-curly-label-box.html

This little box is not only cute, but would be good for teacher gifts. Great for nugget chocolates, small gift cards also. This will be one of my workshop projects on April 25th. Be sure to get your RSVP to me if you'd like to make one of these cute little boxes.

Have a great night everyone. Thanks for stoppin by, remember keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Sunflowers Abound

Good Friday afternoon girlies. Hope your weekend is starting off good. Here in SW MO we are expecting a "winter storm" tonight and tomorrow. Wonder who will get snowed in at my house. There will be alot of stampin if anyone does. So if you are one of the ones coming for SAS Saturday, better plan on bringing pj's just in case.
Today I'm sharing a card we did last Saturday at an imprompt too gathering at my house. Vicki, Reina and Debbie were here for fun stampin. We all just loved Vicki's card and we wanted to make one also. You can see her's over at http://itsastampthing-vicki.blogspot.com/ stop in over at her blog and say hello. She has just wonderful beautiful stuff, she is so talented. I wanta be like her when I grow up....LOL
We started out with Kiwi Kiss C/S as our card base, matted some Chocolate Chip and the DSP is from Good Morning Shine pkg. We used the 5 petal punch to make the Sunflowers in Summer Sun. Added butterflies from MS and a few pearls. The border punch is SU Eyelet punch. I think it turned out great. Hope you do too.
As always, thanks a bunch for stoppin by. Have a wonderful weekend. And keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Mr and Mrs Bunny

Good morning girlies. Very chilly this morning in SW MO today. Hope it warms up a bit, before we get the rain/SNOW on Saturday. It will be a great day to stamp!

Today I'm sharing the Easter baskets I made a couple of nights ago. I was gone yesterday shopping and errands, sorry I didn't post yesterday.

For Mr Bunny, I used the SU Scallop Envelope Die, Delicate Dots DSP from SAB, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink and Black. Pretty in Pink Classic Ink for the edges with a sponge. Finished off with a white gel pen for the 'highlight' in the eyes. The same thing was used on Mrs Bunny except I used Tea Party DSP. For the bows, I used Pink Pirouette 5/8" Striped Gosgrain Ribbon and Bashful Blue 1/2" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I used a bunny head template that I had found on SCS and the rest of the body is made with punches. I just realized Mr Bunny has lost his bow, but he does have one and it's really cute.

That's it for today. If you are in any of the storm areas, please be safe. Thanks so much for stoppin by. And remember Keep on Stampin it's good for the soul.

Have a great day,

Lois

Rainy Day Tuesday

Good rainy day girlies. Man, it has sure rained today and think we'll get more. Looks like if I want to go anywhere, may have to start up the boat....LOL Hope ya'll are having a good day.
Today, I'm sharing a Mini Easter Basket. It was the Monday Challenge TLC213 over at SCS. Very cute little basket. Would be great for any little girl. I chose to use Pretty in Pink, Whisper White and Tangerine Tango for the cardstock. The DSP is Sweet Always. I also used the Cherry Blossom Embosslit for the flower. I cut out the Tangerine Tango flower and popped it up on the Pretty in Pink. The leaves are in Mellow Moss with the Little Leaves Sizzlit Die. Used the Eyelet border for the 'trim'. Finished it off with a sticky pearl. I hope you like my little basket. This will be one of our projects for workshop this weekend.
That's it for today. Thanks so much for stoppin by. Love to read your comments. And as always, Happy Stampin, it's good for the soul.

Glass Etching 101

Good windy (40 mph) day girlies. Hope ya'll are stayin in and stampin. The wind will give ya'll a new hair do if you are out too long. LOL
Today, I'm sharing a small wine glass and a coaster/frame (found at Michaels) that I used my BK and SU Daises #2 Die with some contact paper and Etching cream. Very easy to do. The Butterfly is from a punch by MS. I had to cover up a boo-boo. And I added a oval shaped 1/2 pearl to the butterfly. I like the results very much. I'm planning on putting intials on the wine glass also.
This could be/might be a project for our upcoming workshop on March 28, be sure to be here...you might miss some great projects this month.
This is it for today, I'm working on projects for Saturday and cards for SAS on April 4th.
Thanks for stoppin by, please leave a comment, I love getting them. And as always, be safe and keep on stampin, it's good for the soul.

Watercoloring 101

Hi'ya peeps! Hope you are having a great Saturday afternoon. I finally got rid of my headache so I could do something to show you.
This is my first time watercoloring with SU Aqua pens. WOW! seem to be easy and I'll need more practice at it. But I love the outcome of this card.
I started out with SU Soft Summer from the Occasions mini catty. If you don't have one, be sure to ask your super duper demo for one at your next SAS or workshop. You'll be glad you did. It's a GREAT mini. Anyways, I chose the dogwood blossoms for this card. I started out with Stazon Black on Watercolor Paper. Used Old Olive, Postitively Pink, Pretty in Pink and YoYo Yellow inks to color in with the aqua pens. THEN (why I don't know) I cut the image out. Now if you didn't have a headache before you cut this out, you would when you were done. I made the base card in Old Olive matted with Pretty in Pink and again in Old Olive. I knotted Old Olive 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon and added some pearls. The sentiment is from Soft Summer also. To finish it off, I added a few pearls. I popped up the flower/stem with pop dots.
I hope you like my card today. AND as always, have a great day and keep on stampin, it's good for the soul. Thanks so much for stoppin by.

Impressions Die Congratulations

Good Friday morning peeps! (I'm stealing "peeps" from Vicki). Chilly morning here in SW MO. but it's to warm up some. Then rain, rain, rain! My knee barometer is telling me that rain is on it's way.
Today I'm sharing 2 cards I've made in the last couple of days. Could it be a SAS card for April, you will have to attend to find out. Anyways, I used the new SU Manhatten Flower Impressions Die. For the 1st one, I used Shimmering White as the card base. And then I cut out the top part.
Used Stazon Black for the sentiment from the new set from the Occasional Mini, Very Versatile and I love this set,. Added the new white 5/8 " Satin Ribbon.....ohhhhh that is nice stuff, Makes a perfect bow. The 2nd one was done on PTI white, then cut out like the 1st one, then I used a Quickie Glue pen to add the Glitter, finished it off with a sentiment from Warmest Regards, all mounted on Orchid Opulence Cardstock. And of course used the 5/8" Satin Ribbon again.
Thanks for stoppin by and takin a look today. Have a great weekend and remember Keep on Stampin!!!!

O'Hoppy Day

Good Wednesday afternoon. Hope ya'll are doing great. Beautiful day here in SW MO. Hopefully spring is just around the corner.

Todays card I'm sharing is a kickoff of Vicki's card she posted on her blog that you can see at this link http://itsastampthing-vicki.blogspot.com/2009/03/hoppy-birthday.html

I added the black ribbon for a bow tie, used the Cricut for a Fishing pole and a sparkley firefly from Spare Parts (HL). The sorta look like a lily pad is hand drawn, I need to take sketch/drawing classes I know. The sentiment was done on the computer and punch out with the Word Window Punch from SU, as was the frog is punched from SU punches. All the cardstock is SU and the card size is 5.5" x 5.5".

Hope you enjoyed the card today. That's all for now....thanks for stopping by and Happy Stampin.

Happy Tuesday.......

It's happy Tuesday...you ask, humm why is it happy Tuesday. Well several reasons. I'M home, SAS this Saturday and my hubby is coming home. Great reasons, don't ya think.

Anyways, I'd first like to thank Vicki for guest hosting my blog while I was away. She did a great job as always with the cards/projects she made. I will have a little something something for you when I see ya.

Now, I bet you are wondering why no photos....well because I haven't been home long enough to make anything to post. I rested last night while watching Dancing with the Stars. BUT I'm sure I'll come up with something for tomorrow. I'll be working on SAS projects for the rest of the week and I'll be sharing a few of them. Most will be inspiration I got over at SCS and from Regionals. I'm sure there will be something everyone will love.

Til tomorrow, keep on stampin.

Cracked Egg

Well, this is it peeps, my last day guest blogging for Lois. She is driving home as we speak, or as I type this anyway. Just talked to her and while she had a great time and think she is ready to be home.

First up I want to thank the people who left some O' comments about my patty o' punch! I have let random org pick two numbers to get the kits to make a few of the patty's.

The first number random org. picked is # 2- and that is carol H- "

She wrote: O'my gosh!!!!! He is so cute. What scrapper wouldn't like any kind of goodie bag, let alone topped with Mr. O'Punchy!!! Great job!!"

Hope to see you on Saturday Carol, and I will give you the little O' Punchy Kit.

The second number that random org. picked is # 4- and that is nanny- she wrote: "

OOOh, he is an O'Cutie. I surely would like to receive him in the mail. I love little paper piecing things like that. Nanny"

Nanny please send Lois your addy to give to me or you can send me an e-mail with your address so I can send you the little O' Punchy kit.

Now onto today's card, It is made with the same set we used for the card I posted Thursday, SU "A Good Egg" I used the SAB designer paper called delicate dots for my colors on the card. The base is certainly celery followed by the DS paper. The zig-zag layer is made with so saffron and more Delicate dots DS paper. The zig-zag edge is made with a MS edge punch.

Some ribbon from the SAB cattie was also used along with some flowers punched with the Three flower punch and brads added to the middle.

Well, that is all for today, sure hope you all have enjoyed my guest hosting for Lois and since she is returning from Regionals today, maybe she will have some fun things to share with us tomorrow.

Thanks again for stopping by and Keep on Stamping!!

Patty O' Punchy

Good Day O' Peeps!!! This is my 3rd O'day as your guest blogger!! I am pooped!! It is hard keeping up with posting everyday for 1 blog let alone for 2!!! LOL!!! Someone owes me big O'time!!!! LOL!!

Seriously I have had fun posting for Lois while she is attending regionals in Lincoln. Hope she is happy with what I have posted!

Onto today's O' project. I had saw this cute little guy a while back and thought he was adorable. He is placed on a O' peppermint patty and is made from O' punches, hence his name "Patty O' Punchy".

Can you guess all the O'punches used for this guy? I have a couple of O' kits made up to make this cute little guy. Actually the O' kit has enough to make 5-6 Patty O' Punchy's. So if you want to receive all the O' stuff to make some of these, leave me an O' comment on here and I will draw a couple of O' names and send them to you or give them to you in person if you are local.

All the girls that come to Lois's SAS on the 14th might see this little guy on a goodie bag!!

Thanks again for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!!!!

Just Because

Happy Friday Peeps! Thanks so much for stopping by for day 2 of my guest blogging!!

Today's card I made a while back when Lois asked me to make a few Clean and Simple sample cards for her.

This one is a very easy one to put together and is made with my favorite stampin' up color: Chocolate chip! I used the stamp set Pocket silhouettes and a retired sentiment set called Best Yet. I also used some chocolate chip twill ribbon and made a tailored bow. The DS paper is from the chocolate chip print patterns.

This is not my usual style of card but I liked how it came out and the fact that it came together quickly.

Thanks for stopping by today and Keep on Stampin!!

Happy Easter Chickie!

Good Morning Peeps!

I am happy to be your "guest blogger" for a few days! While Lois is away attending Regionals in Lincoln she has given me access to her blog, so while the cat's away the mice will play, so to speak.

First of all let me introduce myself, my name is Vicki, and many readers of this blog will already know me. I am a good friend of Lois' and she is my SU demo with the mostest!!!

I have a blog of my own and I also help Lois with technical things on her blog, not that I am that good, but I try! Feel free to check out my blog if you have time: http://itsastampthing-vicki.blogspot.com/.

Now onto today's card. Yesterday our SU order arrived at Lois' and I headed over there after work to pick up my things. Of course I had to stay and play a bit with some of the new fun items Lois got.

One of them being this awesome "Movers and Shapers die. It is very cool, cuts the whole card base out and scores it for folding and has the curly label die that can be moved around to any position you want. After cutting out a few we decided we should make a card. Another stamping friend was there to pick up her stuff and we all collaborated on this card.

The card base is made of Bashful Blue cardstock and we used the SU "A Good Egg" Stamp set.

I think the card came out so cute and you just may see this one at a SAS near you soon!

Well, that is all for today, hope you enjoyed my guest hosting today, Thanks so much for stopping by and Keep on Stamping!!!

Happy Birthday Anita

Good Tuesday Morning. A little chilly here in SW MO. But a warming trend is on it's way. Spring will be here before we know it.
Today I'm sharing the card I made for Anita...she loves green. So another day 'going green'.
I started out with SU Whisper White and put that on the Big Dots Background Texturz Plate. Then I used SU Old Olive and Certainly Celery and used the Daisies #2 dies to make the flowers added a Filgree Brad...then got the SU scallopped edge punch and used it on some Old Olive. Added a piece of Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon...finished it off with a sentiment from SU Warmest Regards (retired). I hope Anita enjoys her card. HAPPY BIRTHAY my friend.
That's it for today. I'm off to do errands. On the count down of days before I leave for Lincoln, NE. So keep on stampin' and stay safe.

Going Green

Good Monday Afternoon. Hope ya'll had a great weekend and got lots of stampin done.
The card (front) I'm showing you today is one of 50 that I'm taking to SU Regionals in Lincoln, NE this Saturday.
I thought since everyone is going 'green', I'll do my part. LOL I started with punching 50 of the SU large oval punch and triming off the bottom and angling the top. Then I just swipped it across SU Old Olive classic ink. Took my SU Always Artichoke marker to make the stem. Added a flower, punched with SU Trio Flower punch. Added the sentiment in SU Old Olive classic ink from the SU stamp set Three Little Words. SU Whisper White, Certainly Celery and Old Olive cardstock was used. For the flowers I just used scraps of different colors to punch out and then added a brad from Rich Regals and Soft Subtles. I hope everyone will like it.
This is all for today. Have a great week....remember to keep on stampin.
Lois
