Halloween Candy Wrappers

Hi everyone! No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth yet...LOL Hope ya'll are having a great week. I'm happy to report that my sisterinlaw is out of the hospital and doing well at home. About 2 weeks ago, my mom fell and broke her hip! So I was on the run again. I'm very happy to report, she is doing very well. I take her to her PT sessions and she is just doing so good. Me? HA all I want is SLEEP!!! at least something past 7:30 AM, my one doggie thinks we should be up to see the sunrise....NOT ME!!! LOL Anyways, I am finally getting some time to stamp and create!!

Today, I'm sharing 3 Candy Wrappers I made using the new Candy Wrapper Die from the Holiday Mini. So fun to make, that is AFTER you figure out how to do the ends. There is a trick to them, I'll tell ya!!! I found a video that showed how to have perfect success with the ends. Now can't stop making them...LOL isn't that the way it always goes.

Materials for this project are:

SU Candy Wrappers Die, Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Wicked Fun Specialty DSP, Wicked Cool Clear Stamp Set, 1/4" Basic Black and Old Olive Grograin Ribbon, 1/2" Raven Lace Trim, Popdots, Circle Punches, Scallop Oval xl Punch and MS Small Bat Punch.

That's it for today. Have a great week. THANKS so much for stoppin bye. Would love to hear your comments on my project today. Happy Stampin!!!

Happy B*Day

Good Afternoon stampers. I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything....sorry! I've been busy....as some of you know, my sister-in-law has been in the hospital on life supports. I am happy to report that she is doing fine...she has been transfered from the hospital to rehab. So my trips to Ark. have been considerably less. And I have been working feverishly on a swap for demos. I had to make 29! Finally got them done and they are mailed. Not to mention also, hubby is home! But I'm hoping ya'll are having a great Wednesday. It's a beautiful day here. Windows and doors are open.....ahhh nothing like good ole fresh air.

Today, I'm sharing a quick card we did at SAS. We started with Basic Black Cardstock followed by Whisper White. We stamped the image with Black Stazon. And then matted that on Black c/s. Add a Black Grosgrain ribbon. We did use a MS punch (shhhh, most of my girls have this punch anyways). Added a strip of Black c/s and it's done. The inside is done just like the outside, minus the senitment.

That's it for today. Hope you have a great day. THANKS so much for stoppin by. If you are on my blog lists, I promise I will get around to your blogs this weekend. I haven't forgotten, just been busy.

Happy Stampin,

Lois

Christmas in August

Good afternoon everyone! Hope ya'll are having a great Saturday. It's yet another HOT day here in SW MO. I'm so looking forward to fall. I just can't hardly stand the heat as I get older.

Todays card is a simple Christmas card that I'll use in one of my SAS. I started out with a piece of Cherry Cobbler (love that color), then some Old Olive and a piece of Jolly Holiday DSP. Using the Top Note Die, I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla (folded). I cut the edges off the Very Vanilla and layered onto the Cherry Cobbler. I sponged Cherry Cobbler on the Very Vanilla edges. Stamped the tree in Old Olive from Holiday Happiness, then using my stampamajig, stamped the ornaments in Daffodile Delight and Cherry Cobbler. I didn't like the way the star looked at the top of the tree just stamped, so I punched a star from Daffodile Delight cardstock and popped it up with a pop dot. Added some bling and ribbon/bow made with the bow easy. For the inside, I stamped "Happy Holidays" from Holiday Happiness in Cherry Cobbler. I really love the way the card opens up with the top note folded. What do ya think?

That's it for today. Have a great weekend, and THANKS so much for stoppin by.

Life Happens

Good rainy day! We got some much needed rain here in SW MO, unfortunally, it hasn't lasted very long. It's still a gloomy day out and very humid now. Hope you are having a great Wednesday.

Today I'm sharing an "almost" case that was posted on Stampin Connection by Jenn, her blog is http://justforyoubyjenn.blogspot.com/2010/07/just-note-from-aviary.html . I just loved this card and knew I had to try one. This card is a "Z fold", very easy to do. Cut your cardstock at 5.5 x 11 then score at 4" and 6 3/4". I did change up the colors a bit and used a different sentiment than Jenn did. The card folded up is a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Card details are:
Stamp Sets: Aviary and Full of Live
Cardstock: Whisper White and Basic Black
Ink: Marina Blue, Daffodil Delight, Concord Crush, Poppy Parade and Black Stazon
Misc: Stampamajig

That's it from me today. Have a great day. And THANKS so much for stoppin by.

Happy Stampin,
Lois

P.S. I just now realized that I didn't put any "BLING" on my card...I am going to add some to the top of the bird cage. GRRRR!!! Hate it when I forget something as important as "BLING"....LOL

Hello from KS!

Hi everyone. I've been in KS since last Saturday. Having a blast with 11 very special girlfriends. We meet up once a year for a scrappin retreat. Our time here is almost over. We will be departing to our homes tomorrow. Some gals traveled by air, some by land...but we will be forever linked with our hearts. We have ate, laughed, shopped, chatted, scrapped, played games and just had some good old fashion fun.

This picture I'm sharing is one of the games we played. You were handed an envelope with a name on it. Inside, was a "naked" paper doll from the Cricut "Paper Doll" carts. We were to dress them the way we interput/or saw the person. Anyways, you get the picture. Well, my room mate and best girlfriend, Barbi from Ca. had gotten my name. And this is how she saw me. Now I'm not sure, but I can say for sure, I DID NOT have a hula skirt on nor did I have a drink in my hand (unless it's dt pepsi). But, all in all, we had a blast! And I love my paper doll! Hope you get a giggle out of it as I did. Love ya Barbi!! See you all next year!!
This is it for now. I'll be back home tomorrow. I'll be back to posting and commenting this weekend. Have a great evening!
Your Friend,
Lois
