Weekend Sketch Challenge

Good Afternoon chickies. Hope ya'll had a great weekend. Mine was quite, I was sick for a couple of days with tummy issues, but I'm better now. The weather here is HOT!!! I hate to even go outside because it's so hot. I think we have some rain in the forecast.

Todays card I'm sharing, is one I did for theWeekend Sketch Challenge . This is the first time for me doing the Weekend Sketch Challenge. I hope you like what I've done.

Receipe for my card, this is a 4 1/2"x 4 1/2" card

Stamp Set...Flight of the Butterfly

Cardstock...White, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Razzleberry Lemonde DSP

Ink....Black Stazon, Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo

Misc: Pop Dots, Nestabilities, Ribbon, Piercing Tool, pearl stickers

Note: I just recieved the butterfly punch from SU and it's NOT a match. It cuts off the antenas of the butterfly. Was told by SU that that's the way the punch was designed by the orginal company that makes the punches. I was so hopping it would match a bit better.

That's all for today, have a great Tuesday. Thanks so much for stoppin by and remember, keep on stampin it's good for your soul.

Get Well

Good Afternoon chickies. I know it's been a week since I've posted anything. It's just been a very busy week here. Hubby home (gone now), working on the remodel of my stampin/scrap room, my father was in the hospital (home now, doing good), well you get the picture. LOL It's been so blasted hot here in SW MO. Can't wait for a cool down.

The card I'm sharing today, is one that Vicki and I did for SAS. We really had a hard time with this one, but we love it now. Thanks Vicki for all your help. You are amazing!!!!

Birthday Rose

Good Afternoon chickies. Happy Wednesday!!! It's HOT here in SW MO....a/c is running and won't be shut off til Fall I don't think. ERRRR Electric bill will be very high. The price we pay to stay cool!!!

Todays card is a bit different than I usually do. It WILL NOT be a SAS/workshop card. Too much of a glitter mess and takes forever to dry.

Products Used:

Stamp Set: Fifth Avenue Floral, It's Your Birthday
Cardstock: (GASP) PTI White, SU Ruby Red and Clear Transparency
Ink: Black Stazon and Old Olive
Misc: Glitter Glue, Red Glitter, Popdots, Ribbon, Paper Piercer/Matt, Scalloped Edge Punch and Little Leaf Sizzlet Die

I found this card on a blog, and shame on me that I can't find it to put a link here. But the orginal creator used Yellow cardstock for the rose. But I wanted to make a glitter rose. I really like the outcome of the card in general. I'll be making a yellow one for my mom for her birthday in August.

That's it for today. Have a great evening and remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul. As always thanks so much for stoppin by.
