Fabric Flowers

Good Afternoon ladies. Hope your Thursday is going smoothly. It's a heat wave here in SW MO 52 degrees. Snow is gone except in the shaded areas. Now we are going to have rain today and tomorrow. So far haven't seen any rain. Hope your weather is co-operating too.

Today I'm showing you a couple of fabric flowers I made using SU Flower Folds die, fabric scraps, glue gun and a button. I'm putting a pin/clasp on the back so that they can be attacted to your coat or whatever you want. Very simple to make. Nothing to them really. I used the scraps of fabric I had left over from a couple of purses. Get your die out and try one, you'll love the results...I do!

That's it for today. Have a great evening. And THANKS so much for stoppin by. Happy Craftin!!

Congratulations

Good Morning ladies. Hope you had a great uneventful weekend. Me? Welllll I spent 3.5 hrs in the ER on Saturday afternoon. I fell on the kitchen floor. Pretty hard hit. Have a big bump on the back of my head...hurt my neck and shoulders. But today, EVERYTHING hurts. Poor Vicki, she was here, thank you God for her, scared her too. But she helped me alot. Long story short, nothing broken and none of the hardware in my lower back or neck was hurt. I was pretty scared with my neck hurting that the hardware might of broken. I'll be good as new soon I hope.

Todays card is another stamp camp card. Very CAS.

Happy Birthday Elvis

Good Morning ladies. It's 0 degrees here and we have snow again! YEAH for snow, BOO for subzero temps. Can't really enjoy the snow when it's so cold out. They say a warm up is coming next week. We'll see! Are you getting a start to your weekend? I was having stamp camp, but have canceled it, due to the weather. All of the surrounding areas schools are closed due to the cold weather, which is very unusual around here.

Today, In honor of Elvis's birthday, I'm sharing a quilted rag purse made of Elvis material. I sent this purse to a very good long time friend, she and her hubby are big Elvis fans, well so am I. And she recieved it on Wednesday and just loves it. So if you are an Elvis fan, I'm sure you will appreciate it.

The only SU item used on the purse was the Scalloped Square Die. These purses are so easy to make using the die, making them is so easy.

That's it for today. Have a great day and thanks so much for stoppin by. Happy stampin or sewing which ever you are doing.

Fancy Favor and Candle

Evening ladies. Hope your Tuesday went great. Is it cold where you are? Well, if not, come down to SW MO and you will get your fill of being cold. It's burrrr cold here. Snow coming tomorrow, which is ok with me. Some folks don't like the snow, but as long as I don't have to drive in it, I love it. Hate ice though.

Tonight, I'm sharing a Fancy Favor Box and Candle wrap that took me about 20 mins to do. Making the box was tricky using metal sheets! I used Ten Seconds Metal Sheet and CB Heart Embossing folder. That's about it, other than a couple pieces of Scor-pal tape. Added a few silk flowers and done.
I'm not much into Valentines Day, so this will serve it's purpose on my fireplace mantel until Feb 14th.

That's it for tonight. Have a great day Wednesday. Thanks so much for stoppin by tonight.

Quilted Rag Purse #2

Happy Saturday everyone. Hope your day went well. Mine did! Debbie, Vicki and I are at it again...SHOPPING!! and SEWING!!! We are the addicted threesome. Is there a 12 step program? LOL

Tonights purse is one I made today. It still needs to be washed and fluffed, but I really like this one. Again, I used the Scalloped Square Die from SU...We are going to wear the die out! LOL

Snow is on it's way and I'm claiming tomorrow a PJ day so I can sew some more. Only this one that I'm making is for a really good friend of mine. I hope she likes it when she recieves it. But I won't be able to post a photo of it until she gets it in the mail. I want her to be surprised.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a safe New Year's Eve. It's been a little busy around my house this past week or so.

Today, I'm sharing a rag purse made with the SU Scalloped Square die last night with Vicki and Debbie. This is how we celebrated the new year. We had rib eye steaks on the grill, salad and baked pototoe. Ahhhh it was wonderful. Then we went back to sewing. We all had a blast and have some awesome purses. I still need to wash it, so the edges will fluff up more. But I just had to share. I am going to make another one today. You can see the instructional video over at http://www.chicnscratchlive.com/ You will need to scroll down to the Rag Purse Video. Angie did a great job with the video and the purse is easy to do....go get some fabric and give it a try. You will love the results.

Thanks for stoppin by. Have a wonderful 2010 and make awesome memories.
