Here comes Big Bird

Good Afternoon my little chickies. Hope you are having a great weekend. It's been very sunny and hot here in SW MO. We welcome this weather since we had a ton of rain.

Last night a couple of my GOOD friends came over, (Vicki and Debbie). We missed those who weren't able to make it. So instead of workshop, since so many had other obligations, we chose to do whatever we wanted. Debbie needed a little boys card.Between the 3 of us, we burn up a few brain cells. So this is what we came up with. Now I have to admit, this morning I thought it was still a little plain, so I added the 'burb' with Happy Birthday stamped on it. I like it better now, hope you do too.

We started out with a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card. We used SU Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, YoYo Yellow, Tangerine Tango, Close to Cocoa and Washington Apple DSP. Punches used were, 1/4", 1/2", Scallope Circle, Large and Small Oval Punches. Added today, I added the sentiment from On Your Birthday in Black Stazon stamped on the unknown "burb" punch.

Hope you enjoyed the card today, we had a blast making it. They all turned out very cute and just the thing for a little boy or girl.

Have a great Sunday. Remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Best Paws

Good Morning chickies. It's a rainy day here is SW MO. Hope your weather is better than what it is here. It's a good day to stay in and watch the NASCAR race and stamp, and that is just what I'm going to be doing today.

I decided to get back to scrapbooking. I'm still going to be doing cards and 3 D items, but I started scrapbooking before stampin/cards/etc. This page I'm sharing with you today is a 8 x8 page of my 2 furbabies, Miss Dolly and Gidget. I wanted to start an album for my furbabies. I was having a hard time getting a good photo of the page, sorry it's not a better one. Any tips would be appreciated, other than a new camera. I think alot of the problem was the lighting, since we have clouds and rain.

I started out with a pc of 8x8 SU Chocolate Chip. Then added some Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP pieces. Used the Scallop Edge punch on some Kraft cardstock. The lettering was cut out using Alphalicious Cartridge on my Cricut. All the words were done on the computer, punched out with the Word Window Punch backed with Kraft and Chocolate Chip and pop-up. The buttons are SU Clear buttons, used the 3/4" punch for the circle pieces behind the buttons and finished them off with some brown hemp (Michaels). On the photo, I used SU Photo Corner punch in Chocloate Chip.

Thanks again, for stopping by and saying "hi". Hope you have a great week. Stay safe and remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Twin Roses

Happy Memorial Day Weekend my little chickies. Hope you are having a great and safe weekend so far. Stay safe everyone. I haven't felt the best last few days, so that is why I haven't posted anything. But I'm feelin better today, have alot to do. I did find a sketch I want to do, so would like to get it done today sometime. Hope ya'll are well.

Today, I'm sharing "twins", Vicki and I got together one Saturday and we decided that we needed to do something new and different. Here's what we did. Used the Manhatten Flower Textured Impressions Die. We then took our brayer and inked it up with Pumpkin Pie CL ink on the 'smooth' side brayered the ink. Layed Whisper White cardstock inside the folder and ran it thru the cuttlebug. Then we cut out around the flowers. The left side card is the one I did and I used Riding Hood Red as the base for the card. The right side card Vicki did and she used Tangerine Tango for the base for her card. Ribbon and brads to add the finishing touches along with Sincere Saluations for the sentiments stamped in White Craft Ink. I hope you enjoyed the cards today.

Thanks for stoppin by today. I enjoy reading all the comments you leave. If you have a suggestion on one of the cards I have posted to improve them, please let me know on that also. Never hurts to get options from other perspectives.

Have a great weekend my little chickies, remember, keep on stampin it is good for your soul.

Friends Frame

Good Afternoon chickies. Hope ya'll have a wonderful day. It's a beautiful day here in SW MO. Looks like we might get a little rain, but for the most part, it will be a beautiful weekend.

Today I'm sharing a framed art piece that we will be doing at Workshop coming up. If you are interested in the workshop, shoot me an email and I'll get all the details to you.SU Whisper White, Chocolate Chip was used, along with a piece of Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP. Stamp set was SU Friends 24-7, Define Your Life and Embrace Life. Ink is Chocolate Chip. I thought this was a great gift to show your friendship to that special friend. Images were colored in with Watercolor pencils and blender pen. Punches used were the Large and Smal Ovals. 1 and 1 1/4" punches also were used. The frame I found at the Dollar General Store.

I'm really busy getting ready for workshop, going to a scrapbooking retreat and yet again another SAS. I'll try and get something posted tomorrow.

A little shout out to my buddy Vicki...she has been under the weather the last couple of days. Hope you are feeling better soon.

I hope all my little chicks have a great and safe Memorial Day weekend. Remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Cluck, cluck my little cluckish hens,

Thank U

Good Morning chickies. Weather in SW MO is fabulous!!! No rain this week, we hope. Hope your Monday is starting out good.

Todays card I'm sharing is from a sketch of a card I found while blogering around last night. I don't remember who's blog I was on, sorry! I did change it up a bit, the other one was sorta plain but I did like the layout. SU So Saffron is the color I chose for the base card. Added some Bashful Blue and Delicate Dots DSP from Sale-a-bration 09. The sentiment I used my Certainly Celery marker on, is from a retired set Much Appreciated. I also used Scalloped Oval punch, Large Oval punch and the Ticket Corner punch. Used some rhinestones for the bling and some dark blue hemp. Cut the "U" on my Cricut.

Thats it for today. Thanks for stoppin by. Remember, keep on stampin, its good for your soul.

Cluckish Hen Party

Good evening my little chickies. Hope ya'll are having a great Sunday. It's been a beautiful day here in SW MO. Hopefully it will stay this way for awhile, so we can dry out some. Everything is so soggy.

Tonights card I'm sharing is not all SU and was inspired by a person who has called us (my stamp group) "cluckish hens", she thinks all we do is sit around and gossip. LOL I thought that was so funny and I immediately thought of this stamp by Penny Black, Chicky Nite. Those chicks are so cool. And you know it fits the majority of the gals in a really fun way. And most of the time when we are all together, it does sound like we are "cackling", but cackling about important stuff, not rumors or other unimportant people or things. So THANK YOU to the person who thinks we are "cluckish hens", we wear it proudly and it gave me inspiration for the card.

The card base is SU Bordering Blue, Pink Passion and Sun Yellow. The image from Penny Black, Chicky Nite was watercolored with markers on watercolor paper. Used the Wavy Dot Edge punch from EK Sucess. Added a Hot Pink Daisy from a pkg of Spare Parts Primas and then finished off with pearl stickers.

That's it for tonight. Have a great nite and a great Monday. Remember...keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Cluck, Cluck!!! LOL (sorry couldn't resist)

Daisy A Day!

Good evening chickies. I know it is late tonight and I haven't posted in a few days. Well, ya know how life has detours, well I got one, hubby is home and we have been working on my honey do list and tomorrow we're having a 'date'. Haven't done that in a while.

Tonight I'm sharing another card from SAS...we just have the best time. There wasn't much stampin on this one. Used the stem from Fifth Avenue Rose, stamped in Always Artichoke and filled in with Always Artichoke marker. Paper used was, So Saffron, Whisper White and So Saffron DSP. The Daises are from the SU Daisy diez. Vase is the wide oval punch, just enough cut off the make the bottom of the vase. Used So Saffron Cl Ink on the white daisies. Now I ran out of SU buttons so on mine I used Bazzill buttons that I have had for several yrs and never used, they came in handy on this. Added some brads and hemp and we are done.

Thanks for stoppin by. Have a great Friday....remember keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Sweet Birthday

Good evening my little chickies. Ahh the weather has calmed down for now, but here in SW MO, anything is possible. They are talkin thunderstorms for the next 5-7 days. Hopefully no more high winds.

This card I'm sharing is one we did at SAS last Saturday. Started with Baja Breeze as the card base, added some Sweet Slumber Speciality DSP, Riding Hood Red and Watercolor paper. They watercolored the cupcake image from Wagon Full of Fun (Occasional Mini). Added a couple of Baja Breeze Corduroy Buttons. You can't really see it, but we added Dazzling Diamonds on the cupcake and the flame. It really does sparkle.

That's it for tonight. I'll be back tomorrow with another card we did at SAS. Everyone have a great evening, a great Tuesday and thanks so much for stoppin by. And remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Forest Friends

Good evening my little chickies. Bet you thought I wasn't going to post anything today. Well, today has just been one of those days that people think they can get in your cheerios. But that is ok, I'll drown them if they don't leave me alone. I really need to be cutting cardstock for SAS, but I'll post this first then get busy. First, I'd like to say that it was a beautigful sunny warm day in SW MO. I'm sure rain is on the horizon though.

The card I'm sharing tonight is card #7 of 10 for SAS. Using SU Forest Friends from the Occasional Mini. The 'thank you' is from Wow Flowers. It's just the cutest little set ever and we don't use it enough. The card base is SU Really Rust, followed with Chocolate Chip, More Mustard and Whisper White. Ink is the same as the cardstock. I embleished with Filgree Designer Brads with a Chocolate (oopps not SU, sorry) and silver brad and Chocolate Chip 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. Punches were the 1 1/4 " square and 1 3/8" circle punches. The senitment is popped up. I found this layout on a blog and now can't find the blog to give credit. Sorry :( But I did give it my own twist.

That's it for tonight. Gotta get busy cuttin cardstock. Ya'll have a great evening. And remember, keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Pear Thank You

Good rainy morning my little chickies. Yes, it is still raining here is SW MO. And it's suppose to rain all day all night and then yet again tomorrow. OHHHHH when will it ever end. I'm stayin inside and working on SAS for May 9.

Speaking of SAS, this is card # 3 of 10. Something a little different for the gals to try. Working right on the DSP. I started this card out with a SU Chocolate Chip base. Added some SU Good Morning Sunshine DSP. Used 2 coats of Crystal Effects on the 'pear' and let it dry. Used 1 1/4 punch first then punched the Scalloped circle punch....popped that up over the Crystal Effects pear. Stamped the Thank You (from the under $10.00 pg) on Good Morning Sunshine DSP and punched out with the Large Oval, then punched Chocolate Chip with the new Scalloped Oval punch from the Occasional Mini, popped up on Kiwi Kiss with the Wide Oval Punch. Finished it off with a few silver 1/2 pearl stickers. And of course, I got this idea from SCS. Love that place.

This is all for a rainy day. Hope you all have a great weekend. Remember keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.
