Raspberry Flower

Good afternoon my little chickies. Hope ya'll are doing well and getting ready for the weekend. We're having rain again!!! One day I'll look down at my feet and they will be 'webbed'. LOL I'd love to see sunshine.

Today's card is one of 10 cards I'll be doing for SAS on May 9. Raspberry Tart DSP is pretty, but only if you use it in the right way....I found this card on SCS, boy if I didn't have SCS I don't think I could do SAS. I'm just not that creative I don't think. And I think the card really showcases the DSP in a great way. Hope you like it.

I used: SU Kiwi Kiss, Raspberry Tart DSP and Whisper White. Silver Brads and the sentiment is from Upsy Daisy. I made the 'flower' by using a pc of Raspberry Tart DSP 1" x 12" then used the SU Scalloped Edge Punch on one side, the used the scor-pal at each scallope. Folded back and forth, attached the 2 ends together, layed it on a 1" circle with adhesive on it to make the flower stay down. Hope that was as clear as mud! The ticket punch was used on all the corners of the DSP. I added a 1/2 pearl on top of the flower.

That's it for today....remember keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Friend

Good Afternoon chickies. Hope your day is going great. Weather here is nice today, for a change.

I know the card I'm sharing today isn't SU, but sometimes you have to dig out something else. And that is what I did. I seen one like this on SCS, I changed the sentiment to fit my need for a friend card.

Supplies used: PTI White and Aqua Mist cardstock. Spellbinders Daisy Edgeabilities, Cuddlebug Dots small folder, Chalks, Versafine Black Ink, Paper Inspirations Stamp, Cuddlebug and Popdots.

Let me tell ya though, I had a very long nite and lots of paper to get this the way I wanted. I think I have 10 cards the WRONG way. GRRRRRRRR. But I love the outcome of this one.

Thanks for stoppin by...remember keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Lois

Tomorrow I promise to get back on the right track with SU.

Daisy Watering Can

Good evening chickies. I know this is very late, but hey I've been playin Molly homemaker and cleaning house. I took some time out to play a bit.

I seen this wateringcan on SCS (sorry can't remember who), but this is my version of it.

I started off with GASP PTI white cardstock. I used SU dies for the dasies. Again, used PTI white and SU Summer Sun cardstock for the dasies. Brad in the middle of the daisy I got at HL on sale from Spare Parts. The ribbon is from SAB ribbon bundle, I just love that ribbon. Anyways, took a piece of Summer Sun for around the bottom and used EK Success Wavy Dot Punch. then I used Summer Sun and sponged around all the edges. The "spout" I used the dotty spiral tree stamp from Trendy Trees.

Hope you like my watering can. Thanks for stoppin by and takin a look. Have a great evening and a Wonderful Friday and weekend. Remember keep on stampin it's good for your soul.

Parisian Card Box

Good afternoon chickies. I know I was to post yesterday, but I'm busy getting ready for stamp camp workshop for this Saturday. The weather is beautiful here in SW MO. A beautiful spring day.
Hope ya'll are enjoying the weather.
Today, I'm sharing a card box that I made with a pattern from PTI that Vicki shared with me (thanks a bunch Vicki). She was here on Saturday nite and this is what we made. We used Close to Cocoa for the base and used Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP for the Mat layers. We tied it up with Baja Breeze Striped Ribbon and added a lrg from the Pretties kit and used a Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button. If you don't have any of the Corduroy Buttons, you are really missing out. They are to die for!
That's it for today....I'll go back to working on workshop items. Have a great day and remember keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Think Pink

Good morning chickies. Hope ya'll had a great weeekend. We were a little 'soggy' with alot of rain. But today the sun is shinning and all is well in SW MO.

I had a great weekend. Vicki came out on Saturday nite and we made a project that I'll share tomorrow. Sunday she was here again, along with 3 others beside myself, she showed us how to watercolor. Oh what fun we had. For those of you who didn't get to come, we missed you and you missed another awesome stampin and fellowship time.

Todays card I'm sharing is one that I watercolored. Please remember this is only the 2nd time I have tried to watercolor. I'll get better I hope. Anyways, started out with watercolor paper, reinkers Pumpkin Pie, Olive Green, So Saffron and Pixie Pink. The image is from the newest stamp set in the Occasional Mini, Wagon Full of Fun. I just love that set. Anyways, the cardstock is So Saffron and Pixie Pink with Tea Party DSP. I know "gasp" I used a MS punch for the butterflies and used my Nesties also. Finished off the butterflies with a little 1/2 pearl sticker and tied it all up with some Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon. So what do ya think??? Springy?( is that a word?).

That's it for today. Hope you enjoyed my card. Thanks for stoppin by. Have a great Monday. And remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

See ya tomorrow....

Movers and Shakers Thank You

Good late evening chickies. I know it's late, but what can I say. I've been busy is all I can say.
Today was another beautiful day in SW MO, but we are expecting rain late Friday into Saturday. So keep dry if you are having rain. A good day to stay in and stamp.

Tonight I'm sharing a card I made for one of my best friends in-laws. They invited us for Easter dinner at their house. Of course, we didn't have the traditional ham dinner. The guys had gone trout fishing in March and that's what we had for dinner, yuummmmmy food.
Anyways, another friend (thanks Debbie, hugs)
found me a new "toy" for my movers and shakers die. Aren't those little windows cute? I used Pink Pirouette Textured cardstock for the base of the card. I added the flowers in Tangerine Tango from the Trio Flowers Punch...along with the leaves in Mellow Moss from the sizzlet die. Wrapped it all up with Tangerine Tango Stripped ribbon...and finished the flowers off with 1/2 pearl stickers. The sentiment is from Bella Blossoms stamped with Black Stazon.

That's it for tonight. I'll see what I can come up with for tomorrow. As always, keep on stampin it's good for your soul. Thanks so much for stoppin by and sayin 'hi'.

Good nite,
Lois

Happy Tuesday

Afternoon chickies. Hope ya'll are having a great day. It's a beautiful day here in SW MO. Hope we have more days ahead just like this one.
Monday I got the SU order...and you got it! I got the Matchbox die from the Occasional Mini. I couldn't wait to play with it. I made this 'chest'. Isn't it cute? ! ! ! Very easy to make. I used all SU papers...Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Pink Pirouette and Sweet Always DSP. Wrapped the boxes all together with White Oranza Ribbon. Used one the sentiments from Oval All with the Oval Scalloped Punch, both from the Occasional Mini. If you haven't gotten yours, see your nearest/dearest/cool demo and I'm sure she'll hook you up with getting your order in right away so that you'll have your very own. To finish it off I used the hardware for the drawer pulls from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware collection.
These are so fun to make and so many uses. Either stacked or just single.
This is all for today. Now that hubby has left, I'll be able to get things done and share with you on here. Hate it when "husbands" get in the way of creating.
Have a great day...remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

I hope this finds you all well and had a great Easter. It has rained here in SW MO all night Saturday nite and all day and so far tonight. Hope it lets up soon.

I'll be posting something hopefully Monday or Tuesday, until then keep on stampin, remember it's good for your soul.

Delicate Butterfly

Good Afternoon chickies. I think I'll call ya'll chickies. Vicki uses 'peeps' and chickies and peeps go together, don'tcha think? LOL
The card I'm sharing today is one that I used "left overs" from SAS last Saturday. Again I needed another birthday card and thought this would fit the ticket. We used Whisper White as the card base and layered SAB Delicate Dots DSP, So Saffron and Ribbon is also SAB. Butterflies were cut from the Butterfly diez. Put a few metalic metals for the body of the butterfly. Very simple easy card.
Hope ya'll have a great "hump day" Wednesday. Thanks so much for stoppin by. Remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Breezy Day

Good afternoon girlies. Hope you are having a great day. Beautiful day here in SW MO. Maybe, just maybe spring is right around the corner.
Today I'm sharing a card that I made for one of the gals on my yahoo group birthday. I used Parian Breeze Specialty DSP. It's the by far the best texture DSP I've seen in a long time. Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Baja Breeze were also use. The ribbon is Organza Ribbon. Sentiment is from Very Versatile in the Occasional Mini. Used my piercer for the corners and the Butterfly die.
Care to comment? I love comments. Have a great day and remember keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Bikini Time

Good Afternoon girlies....Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was great. Weather today in SW MO is chilly...a little windy, but not bad.
What happened to SPRING!!!!! I was so lookin forward to summer with this Bikini card I'm sharing today. One of my best friends her hubby had a birthday last week and yesterday was the first day I could do something I wanted to do, so I made him a card.
I'm sure he will turn VERY red. But it will be fun to give hin this card anyways.
I found the template on SCS...I used SU Blush Bloom cardstock for the 'body', I was looking for some animal print but couldn't find mine, so I settled on this print paper from Paper Studio. The Big daisy is from the Daisy die from SU and the punched daises are a retired punch, can't remember the name. Then took some "bling" I found at JoAnns $ spot. The sentiment is from It's Your Birthday. I love that set. I use it alot. Before finishing it off with a red heart on the bohiny...I used organdy black ribbon that is retired also. Hope he loves his card. I just think it's too funny.
Have a great week, thanks for stoppin in, remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Spring is here

Friday afternoon, YES!!! The weekend is here finally. Beautiful day here in SW MO. Sunny and warm.
Today, I'm sharing a card I just finished up for SAS on Saturday. I wanted to do something 'springy' (is that a word?).
I started out with Mellow Moss as a card base. Then chose Pretty in Pink for a matt. Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon was also used. I used scraps of Mellow Moss, Barely Bannana and Perfect Plum with the Buttons #5 sizzlet and the Birds and Blooms sizzlet 4 pack dies. The sentiment is Glad Friends, from the under $10. section in the SU catty. BTW, you can own that stamp by purchasing $40 and you will get your choice of a single stamp. FREE is good!!! So be sure to see your favorite demo with the mostest and get your order in. I used some dark purple hemp also. The dew drops are from Robins Nest. I was going to use brads, but didn't have enough for everyone. But you could use brads from the Soft Subtles collection.
This is all for today. Thanks a bunch for stopping by and leaving a comment. And remember to keep on stampin, it's good for your soul. And have a wonderful weekend.

SAB Congradulations

Good Thursday afternoon girlies. It's a bit chilly here in SW MO. A little cloudy and rainy also. We can use the rain, but the calendar says it SPRING, so where is it????
Today's card I found on SCS. All my girls in club have all the SAB and I thought this card was really neat. So we will be doing this one on Saturday. I tell ya, without SCS I'm not sure I could be a demo, I'm just not that talented. I appreciate those who are. Makes us that aren't look good. LOL
Anyways, the card base is So Saffron, then Delicate Dots DSP. Punches used were the Scalloped Edge and Large Oval punches. Ribbon is from the SAB Ribbon Bundle. Scalloped Circle I used the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz die. Hearts are from Polka Dotted Punches Stamp set, had to cut them out because I don't have (yet) the Heart punch. Congrats Stamp Set was used for the sentiments. Ink used was Certainly Celery and Craft White. Matt Pack for the piercing.
That's all for today. I hope you have enjoyed my card that I cased from SCS. I hope ya'll are having a great day. Thanks for stoppin by and leaving a comment. Remember, keep on stampin, it's good for your soul.

Flowers for You

Good afternoon and Happy April Fools Day. Hope ya'll are having a great day. It's a pretty day here in SW MO, we do have a little wind, but other than that, it's nice out.

Today, I'm sharing a card with you that we will be doing at my next SAS on Saturday. I'm hoping everyone will love it.

I got the pattern from http://sluman.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2009/01/25/flower-pot-pocket-card/

I started out with SU Choc. Chip cardstock, Whisper White and used Parisan Breeze Specialty DSP to comeplete the rest of the card. The flowers are made with the Cherry Blossom embosslit die. The middle flower is popped up with pop dots. The leafs are made with the 5 petal flower punch and cut apart. the ribbon is SU Baja Breeze 5/8" Stripped Grosgrain. The tag is from the Occasional Mini...Oval All, which I used Baja Breeze Cl Ink and used the new Scalloped Oval punch also found in the Occasional Mini. Also used the Scalloped Edge punch. Finished the flowers with a 1/2 pearl sticker.

That's it for today....need to finish up the rest of the cards for SAS, of which I'll give you a sneak peek the rest of the week.
